Fonteum is a source-provenanced data layer for US healthcare providers and the organizations around them. Use it to answer integrity, compliance, and ownership questions about any US provider, facility, or healthcare organization identified by National Provider Identifier (NPI) or CMS Certification Number (CCN).
Capabilities:
- Resolve a provider or facility into a joined record drawn from the major federal sources — the national provider registry, Medicare enrollment, quality/Care Compare data, and industry-payment records — with the source, snapshot date, and license attached to every individual field.
- Determine whether a provider is excluded or otherwise compromised anywhere: federal healthcare exclusion lists, federal debarment, and state Medicaid exclusion lists, plus flags short of exclusion such as corporate integrity agreements and civil monetary penalties.
- Trace the ownership chain behind a facility — owning organizations and parent or private-equity entities — for due-diligence and ownership-transparency questions.
- Search for providers by specialty, location, or name, and read the published methodology and source registry behind any answer.
Every result carries a fourteen-field provenance contract (source, source URL, dataset id, snapshot date, methodology version, last-checked, confidence, data availability, coverage window, license, and a signed attestation reference), so answers are traceable and audit-defensible rather than opaque.
Use it for: provider screening and credentialing checks, "is this provider clean, excluded, or sanctioned" questions, compliance and audit evidence, payment-integrity and fraud research, and healthcare due diligence. Coverage is US healthcare only; all underlying data is public-domain federal or state government data.
